Teachers

The staff at FirstSteps School of Dance are all Royal Academy of Dance qualified teachers and have received specialist training. Most of our teachers were professional dancers who worked both nationally and internationally. FirstSteps has mentored many teachers over the years who go on to teach and, open schools of their own. Esperanza Carmona and Sarai Scott Neale have remained here at FirstSteps.

CPD FirstSteps School Of Dance Teachers

Our teachers are committed to professional development (CPD) and are required annually to fulfil continuing professional development criteria. All teachers have Enhanced DBS, and FirstSteps School of Dance has a Child Protection Policy which can be downloaded here. The Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus is recognised by the QCA schools examining body.

All staff have completed a Covid-19 Awareness Course.
